Common Questions About Studying in Australia

Still have questions about studying in Australia? Here are clear answers to help you understand the process and make confident decisions.

When should I apply to study in Australia?

Apply as early as possible, following your chosen institution’s deadlines and allowing enough time for admission, Confirmation of Enrolment and visa processing.

Entry requirements vary by course and institution but generally include relevant academic qualifications, English-language proficiency and any course-specific criteria.

You generally need a valid passport, Confirmation of Enrolment, Genuine Student information, financial and English evidence where required, health cover and other documents listed in the official checklist.

Yes, IELTS is not always mandatory because other approved English tests may be accepted, but you must meet both the institution’s and visa’s English requirements.

The total cost depends on your course, institution and location and normally includes tuition, living expenses, visa fees, health cover and travel costs.

Most student visa holders can work up to 48 hours per fortnight while their course is in session and unlimited hours during scheduled course breaks, subject to visa conditions.

Eligible graduates may apply for a Temporary Graduate visa, but permanent residency is not automatic and depends on meeting the requirements of a suitable skilled or employer-sponsored pathway.

Nativers supports you with course and university selection, admission applications, scholarships, student visa guidance, career counselling and pre-departure preparation.
